Teen may face charges for spray painting pier

HOLLAND, MICH. - A teen from Illinois could face charges after spray painting the north pier at the Holland State Park.  The spray paint looks to honor Christopher Mimis after he presumably drowned last week.

According to our media partners at the the Grand Haven Tribune destruction of property charges could be filed against a against the 14-year-old Chicago boy.

Christopher Mimis' friend, Vincent Green was found September 1, a day after both teens went missing in a Lake Michigan due to a rip current.  Two other friends managed to reach the rocks near the pier but could not rescue the other two.

Mimis body has yet to be recovered, the search has been suspended several times over the last few days due to weather and lake conditions.
