Local non-profit helps hundreds of needy families

Kathy DeGraw helps sponsor 200 children around the holiday season.

GRANDVILLE, MICH. - A local non-profit held their holiday giveaway on Monday night, Dec. 11.

Be Love Outreach started just two years ago by a Kent County woman.

"I saw the need and I saw how a lot of people want to give because it makes them feel good," said Kathy DeGraw, the founder.

On Monday night, their giveaway in Grandville helped hundreds of needy families with presents for their children. More than two dozen volunteers were on hand to help families.

"I'm humbled, grateful. I'm grateful for the community's support and I'm grateful that people have rallied around this cause," said DeGraw.

If you'd like to help Be Love Outreach, donations are welcome. You can find more information on their Facebook page.
