Metro Health to merge with U-M Health System

WYOMING, MICH. - Metro Health has agreed to move forward with an agreement to become part of the University of Michigan Health System.

Metro Health says the affiliation will enable them to further expand primary care and specialty services, as well as expand the use of complex medical technology.
The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
In 2015, Metro Health was in talks to partner with Tennessee-based Community Health Systems, but that deal fell through.
