Firefighters put out fire

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Firefighters put out what once was described as a fully engulfed house fire northeast of Grand Rapids, according to a dispatcher.

Crews responding to the blaze near 5 Mile Road and Northville Drive NE reported flames seen from the house and its garage. Firefighters were sent to the home around 7:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30.

One person lived in the home and was able to make it out safely. 

Firefighters extinguished the fire about 15 minutes afer they got to the house.

Crews are now investigating the cause of the fire.
