Whitecaps to hold open house Saturday

PLAINFIELD TWP., (WZZM)- It's been exactly six weeks since fire destroyed part of 5/3rd Ballpark, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps. The re-building process is underway and the Whitecaps want fans to know they will be ready for opening day.

The Whitecaps will have an open house from 10a.m.- 3p.m. Marketing Director, Mickey Graham says, "Free hot dogs, Pepsi products, smores' making, carnival rides, color station, face painting, it's all free." It's also the first day to buy tickets. If you want to buy one for opening day, you get one free for another date.

"The community has been so great. They've given us support. So we wanted to invite them out here to see what's going on and know that we'll be ready for them on April 8th", says Graham.
