4 men found dead in Detroit tire shop; carbon monoxide suspected

Detroit police are investigating the deaths of four men whose bodies were discovered just a short time ago in a tire shop on the city's west side.

Police say that foul play is not suspected. A generator was running inside the shop when police arrived at the scene, leading officials to suspect that carbon monoxide poisoning may have been the cause.

Detroit police said they were notified about the incident at 1:27 p.m. The tire shop is located on the 8000 block of Fenkell Street.

Police had no specifics about the incident, noting officers are at the scene right now trying to piece together what happened.  The ages of the male victims are not yet known. The case remains under investigation.
