DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Isabella County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of an off-road vehicle accident involving an 8-year-old girl on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
According to the sheriff's office, the child was driving a Polaris Ranger in the 5000 block of West River Road and turned too sharply. The ORV rolled, pinning her underneath.
Family members were able to lift the ORV before first responders arrived.
The child was transported to McLaren Hospital, then airlifted on an AeroMed helicopter to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids to treat serious internal injuries.
Her current condition is unknown.
This incident remains under investigation by the Isabella County Sheriff's Office.
