MSU selling one-of-a-kind items at sports sale

MSU to sell off surplus game-worn gear

EAST LANSING, MICH. - Michigan State University fans, you're in for a treat.

MSU's athletic department and its surplus store are getting ready to have a big sale that Spartans fans could probably browse all day without getting bored.

On Saturday, June 3, MSU will host its Spartan Sports Sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. That's happening at Jenison Fieldhouse on the school's East Lansing campus.

A number of items will be on sale. They include game-worn jerseys, helmets, apparel, shoes, plaques, even hockey sticks. The list could grow even larger once organizers are done sorting through "dozens of containers of material."

The school has been showing off the items available on the sale's Facebook event page.

Anything not sold at the sale will then become available online.
