GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Veteran's Day is Saturday, so the timing couldn't be more perfect for the official grand opening of the Military Welcome Center at Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday at the airport to unveil the new space, which is open for active duty military members, veterans and their families.
This unveiling is part of the airport's gateway transformation project. The airport partnered with SpartanNash to make it happen.
