Morley Stanwood reopens after threat locks down schools

MORLEY, Mich. (WZZM) - Morley Stanwood schools are back to normal operations after an online threat toward a staff member and a building. Mecosta County investigators say the school reported the threat was made by a student on Facebook.

The schools were closed from 10:30 until noon on Thursday while the Sheriff's Department investigated.

The 17 year old student police say made the threat was arrested on an unrelated charge. Mecosta County Sheriff Todd Purcell says his department is still investigating the incident and will turn the case over the the Prosecutor for review once they are finished.
