Artistic birds land in Muskegon

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - Muskegon is being invaded by birds!

They are part of an art installation perched throughout downtown Muskegon. The five avain avatars each symbolize a mythical bird.

They were designed by artists Donna Dodson and Andy Moerlein, also known as "The Myth Makers." The sculptures are temporary and only made to last four to five years.

You can get a look at the birds yourself at the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, the Muskegon County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Lakeshore Museum Center, the Downtown Muskegon Farmers Market and the Muskegon Museum of Art.
