Firefighters put out fire at vacant Muskegon home

MUSKEGON, MICH. - Firefighters put out a fire at an unoccupied house late Tuesday afternoon in Muskegon.

Crews were sent to the house around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, near the intersection of Wesley Avenue and School Street as flames were reported coming out of the building's windows.

The fire reportedly engulfed half the home when firefighters arrived. It was put out not long after arrival, Muskegon Fire Battalion Chief Gordon Cole said.

No one was hurt.
