MUSKEGON, MICH - The Muskegon Museum of Art is getting into the holiday spirit this week.
The museum's 12th annual festival of trees started Thursday
Vintage Downtown Muskegon holiday city scenes are the backdrop of this year's event. Professionally designed trees and decor will set a festive holiday mood. Visitors can bid on trees and gift baskets through a silent auction over the ten days of the festival.
"I just want people to know that not only is it fun and gets you in the spirit but I want people to know that this has been brought to them by their own neighbors and friends" said Judith Haynar, Executive Director of the museum. "This is a Muskegon event. It's all volunteer driven and it's Muskegon businesses that have helped to support this cause. and we've just had that kind of support and that's what Muskegon is. Muskegon shows up."
The Festival of Trees is open from 12:00 to 5:00 on Sundays and 11:00 to 5:00 on all other days. It continues until November 27. It's closed on Thanksgiving.
