Muskegon stabbing death suspect arrested in North Carolina

MUSKEGON, MICH. - A woman wanted for a stabbing death in Muskegon has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Asheville, North Carolina. 

The Muskegon County Prosecutor's office  issued charges against Rakelio Latrice Fountain, 30, for allegedly stabbing to death 24-year-old Earaysha Hudgins on Tuesday, July 4.

On that date, officers were dispatched to 7th Street and Grand Avenue area just before 10 p.m on reports of people fighting. When officers arrived, they found Hudgins had been stabbed. She was taken to Hackley Hospital. She suffered multiple stab wounds and later died.  Her family has setup a GoFundme account.  

According to released from the  Muskegon Director of Public Safety Administrative Offices, Fountain will be held in North Carolina pending extradition back to Muskegon.
