Vigil for Barbie Dailey to be held in Muskegon

Vigil for Barbie Dailey moved to Hackley Park

MUSKEGON, MICH. - Friends and family will honor a mother tonight, taken from them too soon.

Police say 22-year-old Barbara Dailey was killed by her ex-boyfriend Sunday, Sept. 4, at her home in Muskegon.

Joshua Salyers, 29, was arraigned in court Tuesday and was charged with open murder. He is being held without bond.

A candle light vigil will be held Thursday night for the mother of three.

It was originally going to be held at Heritage Landing in Muskegon, but the location has since changed three times.

The vigil will tentatively start at 8 p.m. at Hackley Park in downtown Muskegon.

Attendees are asked to wear purple ribbons to support the end to domestic violence and green to remember Barbie.

If you'd like to help but cannot attend, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover funeral expenses and support Barbie's children. You can also find more information and services for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at http://www.everywomansplace.org/
