New medical facility for seniors planned for Grand Rapids

Building near veterans home

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - A new medical facility for seniors is planned in Northeast Grand Rapids.

It will be located on Coit Avenue in the Northeast part of the city. The 40,000 plus square foot building has been vacant for nearly four years.

Around $4 million will be invested to improve the interior and exterior of the building.

"All inclusive care for the elderly which means we will help elderly people who wish to stay in their homes who would otherwise be in a nursing home," says Michael La Penna of Care Resources.

If everything goes according to plan the new facility could be operational by next year.
