Donation helps teens improve driving

NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WZZM) - A Norton Shores insurance agency is donating $16,000 to help teenagers become better drivers, and to support lakeshore fire departments.

The Jon Sepeshy State Farm officedonated the money to the Advanced Teen Driving Program run by the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department.

The money will pay for a few hundred orange traffic cones, and a "Skid Monster". A "Skid Monster"is a device that attaches to a training car, allowing instructors to put the vehicle into an intentional skid.

The insurance agency also gave the Norton Shores Fire Department $6,000 to support fire education and prevention programs.
