Easterseals Michigan goes 'Over the Edge' for fundraiser

People rappelling down building for charity

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - As a way to raise funds and encourage people to face their fears, Easterseals Michigan is challenging them to go Over the Edge. It's a rappelling event in downtown Grand Rapids on Sept. 23 and 24.

Those who raise $1,500 will get the chance to rappel down the side of the Plaza Towers building in downtown.

The public's turn is on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Over the Edge is a program that provides rappelling events for fundraisers like this one around the world.

Easterseals Michigan provides services for people in an effort to help them live more independent lives. Those services include occupational, speech, and language therapy, summer camps and other programs for people who have experienced trauma.

The goal for their campaign is $100,000.
