Construction is expected to start in November or December.

ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A project to install permanent lighting on 48th Street near the campus of Grand Valley State University also is also moving forward.

The township supervisor tells us a final design for the lights was given to Consumer's Energy, and the utility approved it.

The temporary lights will remain in place until permanent ones are installed. They were installed after several reports of sexual assaults in the area since the start of the school year.
