Police release images in MSU student shooting

EAST LANSING, Mich.(LANSING STATE JOURNAL)-- Police today released three images of what they say is the suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night in an apartment in Cedar Village.

East Lansing police say the surveillance images show the suspect both leaving and entering the complex before and after the shooting occurred about 8:45 p.m. Friday.

Dominique James Nolff, 20, of Middleville and his roommate were shot in their apartment in the 200 block of Cedar Street. Nolff died a day later of multiple gunshot wounds, and his roommate was released after treatment at Sparrow Hospital.

Police have described the gunman as a black man, 20 to 25 years old, who was wearing a black hooded North Face winter jacket, tan pants and black shoes.

Police say the shootings were not random, but they are still trying to determine a motive for them
