Popular Grand Rapids food truck destroyed after fire

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Daddy Pete's BBQ's newest food truck caught fire on Wednesday, destroyed the truck according to a Facebook post by the company.

"We are sickened...devastated," the owners wrote. "This truck has been in the making since last year, and hit the ground running as soon as it was completed...it was fun, the brief moment it lasted."

The eatery closed on June 22 to deal the the current incident, however they say they will still operate their Daddy Pete's BBQ To Go at 2921 Eastern Avenue SE. 

Daddy Pete's BBQ was founded in 2012 and their To Go location opened in 2016.
