GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., (WZZM) - A former professor of theology at Cornerstone University was sentenced Thursday for peeping into a woman's window in 2013.
Jeremy Grinnell, 43, pleaded guilty to surveilling an unclothed person, and is to spend the next five years on probation.
Grinnell spied on the woman at her home in Cannon Township. The victim is described as Grinnell's former assistant at Bella Vista Church. Grinnell at one point admitted to looking in the window to see the woman and her fiancé having sex.
During the sentencing, Grinnell, who was also a professor at Cornerstone University, never said exactly why he peeped in the window.
That angered the victim's fiancé, Kyle Baker, who said, "He keeps changing his story. He's a stalker, he was there stalking her and he got busted two days in a row."
Grinnell resigned from his job in November 2013.
