Rogue River floods in Rockford; crest expected after midnight

ROCKFORD, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Rogue River in Rockford has risen above flood stage and is expected to crest early Wednesday morning.

Food stage for the Rogue River is 8 feet in Rockford, and the river is expected to crest at 8.7 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

The river is forecast to fall below flood stage Wednesday afternoon.

Minor flooding of homes is expected upstream of Rockford. The National Weather Service says this crest is comparable to a previous crest of 8.4 feet on May 31, 2010.
