Steady stream of absentee voters at GR City Clerk Saturday

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - There was a steady stream of people taking advantage of the Grand Rapids City Clerk's extended hours to vote absentee on Saturday.  The office opened at 8AM and will close at 2PM.

As of about 9:45, 62 people had requested a ballot to vote absentee in person.

If you would like to request to have a ballot mailed to you, that request must be made by 2PM Saturday as well.

Absentee voters who want to change their vote can do so at their local clerks office until 4pm on Monday. Michigan is one of the few states to allow that.

There are certain eligibility requirements to vote absentee. Click here to read about them.
