KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) - Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will stop in Indiana Thursday, after kicking off her book tour right here in West Michigan.
Palin is more like a rock star on this book tour; she has her very own tour bus and throngs of adoring fans.
"Alaska and Michigan have so much in common. We have the hunting and the fishing and the hockey moms," said Palin to a group of supporters outside of Barnes and Noble Booksellers at Woodland Mall.
Palin's key demographic purchased copies of her memoir Going Rogue.
"I kind of cheated a little bit, my husband dropped me off and I walked right up right when she was getting off the bus and she was kind enough to sign it for me," said Debbie Vansolkema.
Others waited hours for a quick hello and autograph.
"She plays up the fact that she's a mom. There's kind of a little bit of Lucille Ball in her, a little bit of a comedienne," said Kathy Kiely, Washington Correspondent for USA Today.
The Going Rogue tour resembled I Love Lucy's famous assembly line episode with the very sweet Sarah Palin signing books just as quickly as they flew off store shelves. And the experts think Palin is manufacturing her new political career.
"This line when you look at it reminds me of the lines of people waiting to see Barack Obama last year, I think what you're seeing certainly Sarah Palin's listening tour let's put it that way."
And this rogue maverick shows no signs of stopping.
