Byron Township, Mich. (WZZM) - The Brown family lost all their posessions in a fire at their home and friends hope the community can help them get back on their feet.
The fire at 8572 Division Court moved through their home about 2:00pm Monday.
It is just the latest hardship the family has faced. 18 months ago, their young son died of SIDS. In April of this year, Michael Brown, the father, was nearly killed in an industrial accident at work. And now, they're homeless with no posessions.
A friend, Heather Stavn, told WZZM 13 Tuesday: "This family's had a lot of hard times and they just need a break and they need a lot of prayer. They need a lot of help."
Donations of clothing and furniture are being accepted Wednesday until 5 PM, and then again beginning Monday, November 30 at Hank's Tire and Auto at 6000 Clyde Park in Byron Center. (455-7940)
