New Autism Center opens in Belding

BELDING, MICH. -  A new on site behavioral program for kids with autism is open in Ionia County. The Right Door for Hope, Recovery and Wellness held a ribbon cutting ceremony in Belding on Monday June 26, 2017.

Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley whose daughter is autistic, has been an outspoken advocate for autism awarenes. He spoke at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Calley says, "Kids with autism can achieve so much and live full and productive lives. ABA services provided here is really the centerpiece to what a child with autism needs in order to get started out  on that pathway to independence."

The new Belding location is on Storey Road just north of M-44. The Right Door has two other locations in Ionia County, one in Ionia and one in Portland.
