2 moped riders badly hurt after being hit by van

2 teens hurt in moped vs. mini van crash

WALKER, MICH. - Two Walker teens are in critical condition after being hit a minivan while riding their mopeds around Thursday night.

According to officers with the Walker Police Department, the riders stopped at a stop sign at the corner of Richmond Street and Wilson Avenue just after 9 p.m. on Thursday before being hit.

The minivan, which was heading north on Wilson at the time, was being driven by a 17-year-old from Coopersville.

Both riders were wearing helmets when the crash happened.

None of the names of those involved have been released at this point.
