Kenowa Hills music booster accused of stealing $100,000

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The former treasurer of the Kenowa Hills music boosters is charged with stealing over $100,000 from the organization over several years.

Robyn Amy Heintz, 40, is charged with embezzlement.

The Kent County Sheriff's Department began investigating Heintz May 2 when board members with the Kenowa Hills Instrumental Music Boosters uncovered hundreds of suspicious charges and withdrawals from a bank account.

Investigators say Heintz had access to the account and confessed to stealing the money during an interview with investigators.
