Walker businesses asked about need for expanded transportation options

Walker workers being asked for input on bus routes

WALKER, MICH. - People who work in a busy part of Walker are being asked to take a survey to decide if there's need for more public transportation in the city.

Mayor Mark Huizenga has reached out to employers from the corner of 3 Mile Road and Alpine Avenue to 3 Mile and Remembrance roads on behalf of The Rapid.

The transportation service is trying to figure out how to use money it already has to expand service and meet demand in Walker. The corridor is home to Meijer's corporate headquarters, Kenowa Hills High School, and other businesses and organizations.

If you live or work in the area and have not already taken the survey, The Rapid has a link to it on its website.
