Walker's Marathon Gas robbed at gunpoint; suspect at large

Police are looking for the man who held up a Walker convenience store early Monday.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Police in Walker are looking for the man they say robbed the Marathon gas station at 4415 Lake Michigan Drive.

The alleged crime happened at 4:35 a.m., Monday, Oct. 17.

Police say the suspect entered the store with a handgun demanding money from the cash register. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he ran away. A K-9 unit was unable to track him.

The suspect is described as a 5'10" man with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket, jeans, a blue baseball cap and sunglasses.
