WALKER, MICH. - A 48-year-old woman who was cut from a vehicle involved in a two-car accident has died.
It happened at 9:05 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 at the corner of North Park Street and Mill Creek Avenue. That's just west of U.S. 131 and just south of the Comstock Park city limits.
Investigators say the woman was riding in a 2007 Ford Freestyle driven by a 48-year-old man. He was trying to turn north onto Mill Creek when he crashed into the passenger side of a 2007 Mercedes Benz, driven by a 26-year-old man.
The Mercedes driver and his passenger, a 21-year-old woman, suffered only minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital. However, both people in the Ford Freestyle were taken to the hospital in serious condition. The woman later died.
There is no word at this point what caused the crash. The Walker Police Department has not yet released the names of those involved.
