Alcohol-related crash

WALKER, MICH. - A woman is in the hospital after her car was hit by a truck early Saturday, July 15 and police say the driver of that truck had been drinking.

Around 2:30 a.m. someone called 911, reporting that the woman was trapped in her small, white car at the corner of 3 Mile Road and Walker Avenue.

Walker firefighters were able to get the woman out of the vehicle quickly and she was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the driver of a white truck was headed west on 3 Mile and blew through a stop light, hitting the white car. It was forced onto the sidewalk in front of Meijer's corporate headquarters.

The crash did not cause any major delays.
