More water filters offered

ROCKFORD, MICH. - Wolverine Worldwide will be offering whole house water filtration to more homes due to the water contamination issues.

The announcement was made Friday, Dec.1 on the Wolverine Worldwide website. The expansion now includes homes north of Planifield Township in the Jewell and Wolven areas who have detected PFAS.

Wolverine Worldwide, already promised filtration to all homes in the first buffer zone and to any homes in the southeast expansion with detections.

The company says that people who are eligible for the free filtration will be contacted by Culligan to arrange for installation.

The expansion in response to the detection of the man-made chemicals fluorinated per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contained in 3M's Scotchgard product.
