Brick walkway honors Wyoming veterans

Wyoming walk of honor

WYOMING, MICH. - Many say we should thank our military veterans every day for their service and sacrifices, but especially on Veterans Day.

There were parades and ceremonies in many west Michigan communities Friday, including an observance at Veteran’s Memorial Garden in Wyoming.

A crowd came to hear speeches, prayer and patriotic songs, and in the Wyoming park there is also a walkway where very brick has a veteran’s name carved into it.

Mike Gosko came to find the one with his father Daniel’s name.

“He was a World War ll Army Air Corp vet and I’m extremely proud of him and all the veterans in our family and all the veterans everywhere,” he says. ” I always used to come here with my dad and he passed away about a year ago.  I just thought I would in some little way carry on the tradition by coming out to show my appreciation. We can never give them enough. Hope to carry it on for many years to come.”

They have a ceremony in the Wyoming Memorial Garden every Veteran’s Day.
