Man traveling from Minnesota missing in Michigan

ALLEGAN COUNTY, MICH. - Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man traveling from Minnesota to Michigan who did not show up to his intended destination.

According to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office, 38-year-old Steven Chandler left Minnesota by bus on May 21. He arrived in Kalamazoo on May 22, but did not show up to his family's home in Allegan County.

Deputies say they met with Chandler's family on May 26 when they reported him missing. Chandler called his family later on that day and told them that he was in Lansing and he was fine.

Chandler told his family he was using someone else's phone and got off the phone before providing any more information. His family says they are concerned why he hasn't returned home and why he seems unwilling to tell them what's going on.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Allegan County Sheriff's Office at 269-673-0500.
