
Alpine Township, Mich. (WZZM) - A Rockford woman has died from her injuries after a rollover accident in Alpine Township.
It happened just after 1p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Alpine Avenue and Lamoreux.
Michigan State Police say 58-year-old Alice Phillips was heading north on Alpine when she was hit by another car driven by a 19-year-old woman from Grand Rapids.
Phillips' lost control of her car, rode up a guide wire attached to a power pole, flipped over and landed on the roof.
Township firefighters spent less than an hour extricating Phillips. Life EMS responders worked on her inside the ambulance for about 10 minutes before leaving the scene.
Phillips was in the car with her mother who had only minor injuries from the crash.
Michigan State Police are still investigating.
