MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM)- A Muskegon County School administrator traded in his shirt and tie for a scarf and dress because of a fundraiser.
Students at West Shore Lutheran in Roosevelt Park gave Principal Brad Feenstra a complete makeover today morning. It was part of an effort to buy new books for the school.
Each member of the staff had a bucket outside their door and the person who raised the most money would have to dress up. Feenstra was the biggest fundraiser so the students made him dress in drag.
Feenstra says, "My wife and I had to go shopping, and that was a strange experience, but the kids thought it would be a great thing and they raised a lot of money for our library, so."
The school placed the book order today using the $300 donated. Principal Feenstra says he planned to walk the halls in high-heels, but he couldn't find shoes that fit.
