OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-A Greenville man is in the hospital following a two vehicle crash in Kent County.

Around 6:50 p.m. Thursday, Michigan State Police say a 16 year old boy from Cedar Springs ran a stop sign at M-57 and Wabasis Road, driving into the path of a Ford Explorer.

The impact of the crash sent both vehicles rolling into a ditch. The Explorer's driver, 47 year old Donald Steffee, was airlifted to the hospital, where he was listed in serious condition Friday morning.

The 16 year old boy, who was driving a Chevrolet Lumina van, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
