Thursday was a cloudy day with scattered showers, some producing over an estimated half inch of rain in northern Muskegon and southern Newaygo County. Temperatures held steady or fell a few degrees during the afternoon in the mid to upper 40s.

Thursday night, low pressure over northern Lake Michigan begins to move northeast but keeps West Michigan under cloudy skies and occasional showers through daybreak. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 40s. Winds will turn from the southwest at 6-12 mph shifting to the west at 7-14 mph inland towards daybreak and 8-16 mph along the lakeshore.

Friday will feature overcast skies along the lakeshore with mostly cloudy conditions inland. Temperatures will be around 50°. Winds will be west at 6-12 mph inland and northwest-west at 7-14 mph along the lakeshore.

Friday night will remain overcast and mild with temperatures falling to around 40°. Winds will be west-southwest under 6 mph inland and west at 4-8 mph along the lakeshore.

Saturday will begin with cloudy skies but become sunny during the afternoon. Temperatures will recover into the low 50s. Winds will be light and variable.

Saturday night, some fog may develop overnight under mainly clear skies. Temperatures will dip into the mid to upper 30s. Winds will be light and variable.

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny in the morning followed by increasing clouds in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 50s. Winds will be east, increasing to 7-14 mph in the afternoon.

Monday will be mostly cloudy and a little cooler with temperatures around 50°. Some showers may arrive late in the day or Monday evening. Winds will be south-southeast.

Tuesday, as a cold front approaches, showers are likely with temperatures in the upper 40s.

Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day are expected to be mostly cloudy with a few scattered showers. Temperatures will be in the mid 40s.

The first opportunity for measurable snow may not occur until December 2-3, 2009.

The 6-10 Day Outlook for Wednesday, November 25 through Sunday, November 29 calls for near average temperatures and near average precipitation. Average highs are around 39-41° with average precipitation of .55" and average snowfall of 1.3".

The 8-14 Day Outlook for Friday, November 27 through Thursday, December 3 calls for near average temperatures and near average precipitation. Average highs are around 38-40° with average precipitation of 0.75" and average snowfall of 2.8".
