Literary lovers have new place to shop for a story

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- Customers lined up early for opening day at the new Barnes & Noble at Woodland Mall located at 3195 28th St. SE.

The two-story, 40,000 square foot facility has been planned for more than two years. People will be able to enjoy a larger selection, which includes a new educational resource area. There's also a cafe featuring items from the well-known Cheesecake Factory.

Community Relations Manager Taryn Myers says the new store is helping the local economy. "We actually hired on 40-45 new people, so we are so excited to be bringing those jobs to West Michigan," says Myers.

The store will begin hosting a variety of events, like book signings and children events.
