WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM)- Local officials, city staff, community representatives, and local seniors recently celebrated the completion of the Wyoming Senior Center's renovations.

Stimulus funds received by the City of Wyoming through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act financed the project that re-invested over $140,000 into the community.

The renovations rejuvenated the appearance, layout and interior design of the popular community gathering place.

The several hundred square foot renovation provided space for a new entry, furniture, and upgraded technology.

In addition to providing a second home for the thousands of older adults who frequent the center on an annual basis, the Wyoming Senior Center provides extensive programs and services for older adults within the community. Sixty-five unique programs are offered annual serving around 60,000 participants each year.

The Wyoming Senior Center is located at 2380 DeHoop SW. For more information on its services you can call 616-530-3190, or visit http://wyomingseniorcenter.blogspot.com/
