It sounds like an ingredient from a witch's brew - but sweat from frogs may help prevent the spread of the h-i-v virus. Our Gannett Partner, The Tennessean Newspaper, is reporting Vanderbilt University Researchers are testing a new ointment to block the virus. A key ingredient comes from the sweat of three different kinds of Australian Frogs. Researchers say the frogs produce natural anti-biotics and anti-viral compounds to ward off diseases. Their sweat blocked the HIV virus 99% of the time in tests, but scientists say it could be several years before the frog sweat ointment is ready for human use.
