Grand Rapids - A Calvin College dorm was evacuated and the bomb squad was called in after several homemade explosives were found on campus. The first bombs turned up last week. And Tuesday night, students discovered two more.

Amy Baas said, ?It was a little freaky. We didn't know what was happening we just heard there was some kind of bomb threat and we had to leave.? Amy Baas's dorm was evacuated last week after security found two pop bottle bombs in the grass nearby. The Grand Rapids Bomb Squad took care of those but last night two more were discovered in the same area, after they'd exploded.

Senior Britney Stelpstra said, ?I guess it just made me nervous and the bigger question of motivation comes to mind.?

Shirley Hoogstra is the Vice President of Student Life, ?We're telling our students this is serious not a funny prank. The problem is if someone were to get hurt, we'd have a serious criminal and serious school situation.?

Grand Rapids Police say the homemade explosives are powerful enough to blow off a person's hand. WZZM 13 found pictures and directions for them on the web, even videos.

In Calvin college's case, the bombs are being left out in the open, and take up to an hour to react.

So the school is warning students, offering a $500 dollar reward, because when a pop bottle blows, any innocent bystander could get hurt.

Grand Rapids police are concerned this may have become a copy cat situation. They're letting students know that if caught they could be charged with a felony punishable by anywhere from 5-15 years in prison.
