
Grand Rapids, Mich. ? WZZM 13, the Grand Rapids ABC affiliate owned by Gannett, announced today that it will be launching a weekend morning news program on September 9, 2006.
The weekend morning news will run from 6:00-8:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Beginning the news show at 6:00 a.m. means that WZZM 13 will be the only station offering news from 6:00-7:00 a.m.
?This is a new opportunity that we have been waiting for,? said Janet Mason, President and General Manager. ?WZZM 13 is continuing its growth within the industry.?
?The news program will provide viewers with up to date news and weather at a time when it wasn't offered before from WZZM 13,? said, Tim Geraghty, News Director.
