Undated - The Michigan truck driver accused in a crash that killed 5 people from Taylor University is asking that his bond be reduced.

Robert Spencer, 37, of Canton Township is currently in custody on a $135,000 bond in connection with this crash. If that amount is reduced Spencer could be released before his trial. He is currently facing charges of reckless homicide and criminal recklessness causing serious injury.

That was the accident at the center of a case of mistaken identity where a crash survivor, Whitney Cerak, was mistaken for Laura Van Ryn who died in the accident.
