Ionia County - A Belding teenager is dead following a rollover accident in Ionia County Wednesday afternoon.
Police say it happened on Fish Road in Otisco Township. The preliminary investigation shows a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 17 year old from Belding was traveling east on Fish Road, when the driver lost control rolling the vehicle several times. Police say 5 of the people inside the Jeep were thrown from the vehicle. 16 year old Casey Morgan VanBuren of Belding was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and other passengers were taken to the hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash.
