
Mecosta County - Five people have been charged in the home invasion in Deerfield Township on March 20th and a drive-by shooting at the same home on March 24th that wounded a homeowner.
Cody Bodo, Alec Cove and Alexa Zimmerman, all 17-year-olds and all of Charlotte, MI, have been arraigned on a total of 47 counts in the home invasion and shooting. Two more suspects are in custody and will be arraigned Thursday.
Charges range from Conspiracy to Commit Homicide, Murder 1st Degree, Premeditated to Safe Breaking.
Mike and Teresa Korpal were tied up at gunpoint and robbed in their home last Thursday. After Mike Korpal called the suspects "amateurs" in a TV interview, someone went to the home and shot at the house, hitting Teresa Korpal five times. She was released from the hospital yesterday.
Bond for Cody Bodo was set at $500,000 for two charges of Conspiracy to Homicide. Alec Cove's bond was set at $10 million for 31 charges. Alexa Zimmerman's bond was set at $5 million for 14 charges.
