KENT CITY, Mich. (WZZM) - Members of a Kent City Church are rejoicing after a wild week. In a matter of days the Red Pine Bible Church went from having a ruined Easter weekend to being reminded of the spirit of the holiday.
"This is not common," said Pastor Rick Miller. "This just does not happen."
Monday night a thief broke into the church and stole about $2,200 worth of equipment including a computer and expensive sound devices.
"I felt a little bit of anger," Miller said about the break-in. "Because who could do this, I mean who would do this to a church."
Pastor Miller said it was the worst time to lose that equipment. With the Easter weekend fast-appoaching, members of the church were praying for a miracle.
"We had been praying that God would help us know how to be able to put things in order for Sunday," Miller said. "We never anticipated that this is the way he would answer it."
That answer came Wednesday morning when the same thief broke into the church again, but this time, returned all of the items.
"Just the fact that God moved someone for some reason who did something that was a really terrible thing, to break in to a church," Miller said. "To move them to a place where they brought back the majority of what they took... I think that's a miracle."
