GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Filming for a movie starring Chris Klein and rapper 50 Cent took over the 6th Street Bridge Monday night in Grand Rapids.

The movie is called "Caught in the Crossfire." Some of the stars and crew have been in town for as much as ten days, rehearsing, scouting out locations and filming. Filming began Friday.

The movie has a police theme, with officers searching out crooked cops with the help of a police informant, played by 50 Cent. The movie's directors and crew are keeping a lot of their work under wraps. But the stars say they are enjoying their time in Grand Rapids.

"It's quiet enough for me to enjoy myself," says 50 Cent. "It's laid back out here. It's not so much going on that I'm uncomfortable being out and about."

"So far I'm loving it," agreed Adam Rodriguez. "It's a great sized city, you know, a nice mid-sized city with a hometown feel. The people have been great; we've been lucky enough to have a bunch of people that are on the crew that are locals and I've really enjoyed everybody."

This is just the latest example of the benefits of Michigan's tax incentives, meant to draw movies and films to the state. Many of the crew members working on "Caught in the Crossfire" are from West Michigan.
